We have recently changed our name to reflect more clearly
the focus of the organization - Widows' Right International
(WRI)
You will find that we have changed many of the old references to EWD
(Empowering Widows in Development) on the site but have retained the
old title where appropriate.
Margaret Owen, now Convenor of Widows for Peace and Reconstruction,
was on a short visit to Sri Lanka after touring India, Bangladesh,
Africa, and Afghanistan, where she met widows in refugee camps. Link
