Applying for funds from the WRI



WRI IS CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING FUNDING APPLICATIONS!


WRI is a Human Rights organisation, working for widows and their children.  We only fund those organisations working with practical projects for widows and their children.

Contact Information:

  1. Please provide the name of your group. 
  2. Please provide contact information including primary contact name for this application, mailing address (include the district, state, or province and country where applicable), telephone (including country and city codes), fax, e-mail and web-site.  Which of the above is your preferred method of communication?
  3. Please tell us how you found out about WRI.

Group Information:

  1. Please provide background information on your organisation (when and why your group was formed and by whom)
  2. What is the mission of your organisation?
  3. What are the main activities of your organisation and please describe the widows whom you serve.

Grant Request Information:

  • Please describe in detail the project for which you are applying.  Please provide a forecast budget which will indicate how you intend use the grant.  Please specify the currency.

Context Description:

  • Please tell us about the specific issues, challenges, or needs of widows in your community that your group addresses.  What do you see as the root causes of the problems that widows face in your community? How do your activities combat these root causes?

Public Policy Information:

  • Does your group attempt to influence legislation, public policy, and/or traditional laws and practices? If so, how?

Financial Information:

  1. Please provide us with information on recent activities and budgets for the last year.
  2. Please let us know if you have ever applied for grant support from a donor agency or if this is your first application for funds.

References:

  • Please let us know if you work with any other women’s groups in your community, country or internationally.
